our hmong kwv thxiaj, hmong qeej, hmong flute, hmong leaf-playing are all about migrating down to SEA and leaving our brothers along the way reaching back to china. chinese hmong style is always more upbeat cause they didn't migrate.

mmmm. what about thailand and vietnam? hmong thai does it too. not sure if hmong vietnamese does it too. i'll have to check on that

this style is distinctively different from the miao (hmong) in laos.
