In a lot of cases that's true. If you paid 300 k for a house and put fifty down and because of unregulated, irrational packaging of mortgages, the system fails and your house is now woth 180k leaving you 70 in the red AND maybe unemployed, you may be poor though no fault of your own; which is what is happening all over the USA.....Very sad

I am in the tavern business and people drink more when they are depressed....business is booming. Poor people deserve to be poor, they really do...it boils down to lack of motivation.

@smashingchap I believe you have already told me how happy you are that your economy and real estate markets are collapsing .I know you're about 60 yrs. old and you don't mind the misery around you as long as you can finally make some money in your life.Why do I need to know that? Do you want me to ask you if you are in the repo business or what?

@smashingchap If you don't think so, try coming in without a passport.Every generation we have has to show you something.The last one was" Look, stay out of Vietnam."You didn't do it and you got your ass kicked.Now it's, "learn how to have a stable banking sytem".You didn't do it Now we are buying your regional banks.We are telling you you need universal healthcare, but again you're just slow and by the time you get it you'll be bankrupt. Well basically, you are bankrupt.

You saw White people in TO but I didn't see any when I was in Detroit or Washington
