this is the progress of my vette so far! feel free to ask questions and comment! it started off as a California car we found out from emission controls on the motor, we bought the car from a guy in Indiana who's uncle had it for 20+ years, he said it was only in one accident where the rear was hit, but we came to find out that it was wrecked in the back and had lots of damage and was repaired, it was also hit in the front and had frame damage where the frame was straightened out. the whole front clip i aftermarket and most of the rear over the gas tank is replaced the motor was recently rebuilt so were just sprucing it up a little bit. the motors almost done and the frame is stripped of parts and rust and is being painted in truckbed liner so it wont peel easily. the body just has to be painted and have both floor pans replaced. the trans. is fine and painted and ready to install. its coming along slow but steady!

but yea it needs a lot of work right now, if you have any questions just comment and plz rate it! thx for watching

  • cool car. I'm rebuilding a custom 79 & have been doing a video series on it for over a over a year. Checkout my videos on here or Streetfire. You should also join CorvetteForum for expert help. Thats where I get most of my questions answered.

  • thx dude! that sounds fun, and yea ill join the forum, i have a TON of Q's lol thx dude and goodluck on your 79!

  • I hope to design my own website when mine is complete. As it is, there are around 250 photos of it in various stages. The frame is Monterey Red Metallic as the outside will be. The headrests are custom embroidered and everything is new. A new 390hp crate GM with the original bubble wrapped in storage. It will be special.

  • THAT SOUND AWESOME! were painting our frame red, and the body a deep deep blue, so it'll have its own custom flare! we just got the motor painted and are getting ready to start reassembling instead of tearing it apart!!! finally moving forward on it! please tell me when you get the site up and running, i'd love to see it!

  • I have a 1976 StingRay I've owned since new and upon the death of my wife took on a frame off in her memory. We dated in the car. Just make sure you use your head when you start. My budget was soon blown and it has take 3 years and is now ready for paint and the interior to be reinstalled. I love it but in retrospect would have been more frugal.

  • i kno what you mean, they are sooooo expensive to restore! Luckily, mine isn't going to be restored to stock, i'm going to do it tastefully but also custom. Sorry about your wife, I hope your car comes out how you want!

  • Have the exact same thing. Black exterior with red interior and restoring it slowly but shirley. The old girl (Black Beauty) has been sitting in the garage for 15 years and she shows signs of life. But mines not a Stingray. Doors are stuck closed, missing a couple panels and carpet in the interior and the carpet in the back is faded orange. All she really needs is new gas, new oil and plugs and she'll run, but I'm going to do the whole thing and do it right the first time.

  • We are rebuilding a 1976 Corvette. Our web site sells parts and Corvettes. americascorvette=com
