This is absolutely pathetic. How fucking desperate is the police department and prosecution to pin this on someone? Do they not give a flying fuck that an innocent kid's life has been unjustly taken from him? Come the fuck on. All you have to do is look at the first interrogation with Chuck and his testimony. So many contradictions it makes the bible seem legit. Free that poor kid and let him get on with his life.

I just seen this on 48 Hours and was SHOCKED they found Ryan guilty! Without question this kid is innocent!

The Jury needs there heads checked, they also need to learn a little about false memory, that when info is feed to somebody over a period of hours/days, as the police did with Chuck, these things really happened.

It was clear as day simply from Chucks very first interview that the kid wasn't all there, very confussed.

This is crazy. They did not have enough evidence to convict this guy. From watching this episode, my thoughts are that he is innocent. This is a great injustice. I hope he is granted a new trial. My prayers are certainly with him.

Hearing finished July 2008.
We are still waiting for Judge Asel to make a decision.
Of the various appeals Ryan has had this is the only one inwhich he was allowed to present new evidence and witnesses.

All the other appeals were based on what was in the trial transcript.
We have added over 24 additional witnesses that the jury never heard.

Jerry Trump had a previous criminal record how is his testimony any better then Ryan himself who has NEVER BEEN IN TROUBLE and who's only mistake was ever affiliating himself with someone as sick and pathetic as Chuck Erickson--i mean just because Chuck was willing to go to prison doesn't mean that Ryan had a part in it maybe he used Ryan as a victim to get a lighter sentence
