lol. Yes I'm aware of the initial criticisms of this film by the some in the scientific community. The film came out in 2004 and many of those who were criticizing are not anymore due to much supporting research over the last 8 years in the areas of quantum physics, biophysics, and neuroscience. This clip on addiction is actually very basic neuroscience and biology. Not saying the whole film is flawless, but this bit on addiction is 100% accurate. ;)

To be fair, the majority of the criticism leveled at this movie as a whole has to do with their attempts at linking neuroscience and psychology with quantum mechanics. I agree that the QM aspect of the movie is pseudoscience at best and complete BS at worst; however, the clips presented here don't touch on QM at all. While I find the segments here to be fairly insightful, I disagree with the anthropomorphism of the individual cells in your body, specifically the idea that they are "conscious".

Did he not say "Who is in the driver's seat when we respond to "love" Would this not indicate that he included your argument of responsibility for your own actions in response to your interpretation of "belief" in what people tell you?

yeah, maybe or maybe you are willing to believe whatever people tell you without using critical thinking. I guess if you are willing to believe anything without using your own mind, then it's really convenient because you don't have to make decisions for yourself and people can't call you closed-minded. isn't that like living in the passenger seat?
