when i press convert it says i need 4.3 gb of space in my dvdxconverter file

Make sure you clean that file up every once in a while. If it is not that then try to uninstall then reinstall.Hope it works.

how do i clean up the file? i tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it but it keeps saying we have a problem and that the drive needs 4.2 gb free

Make sure that you have dvd and not a cd, What ever dvd your using either dvd+r or dvd-r that your burner supports whatever your using.
