nice flying sidekick

Well, very nice over-all...but as we all know your re-chambers on you're kicks were very sloppy.
-
you need to get a better extension on your kicks especially your back kick. dont hunch your back
-

Yes the hand movements need more power/snap but the problem I have is the teaching. The last side kick is not a spin side kick. Why do we change these forms? The ITF will send you a diagram that tells you the movements. If you don't want to follow them then call your form something else other that Choong-Moo. It's not like the ITF is not there anymore and we can't get a definitive word on what movements to do. Thanks for posting, I can tell you have worked hard.

ITF forms have undergone at least two major changes since they were invented, possibly more, and now there are two ITFs in the world. When Master Hong Sik Kim brought taekwon-do to Portland in the late 60s, he changed moves in some forms, such as adding a spinning sidekick in Choong-Moo and it has been done this way in Portland ever since. As it makes the form a bit more difficult, I prefer it this way.

I'm a high brown belt (right before recommended black belt at my school) and we're not allowed to run into the flying side kick. We just have to jump into it. It's really hard.

Don't know what you mean by "run." All directions I have ever seen for Choong-Moo say to take a step forward before executing the flying sidekick, thus making it a lead leg jumping kick rather than a reverse jumping kick.

Excellent kicks! But no hips, which is why the hand techniques are weaker then the kicking. Nice form though! :-)

The hips are pretty understated. Weak hands also resulted from him having a 100-degree temperature the day we taped it.
