Does Sabayon come with Gedit or is it possible to install Gedit on Sabayon? I ask because I now use Linux for my programming class in school. However I just don't like the general appearance of Ubuntu.
just go tothe homepage and download the sabayon new version and you'll see Is really nice (now better than in that time when this guy was showing us thislivecd)
I'm about to get a Sabayon laptop, I've already worked under Ubuntu, Fedora and OpenSUSE, and I'm a consultant, not even in IT.
But even though, I am a believer, I still have some issued with the system as a whole. -OOo is virtually unusable. First, it's ugly as sin, it's incredibly boring, and exporting to .doc, .xls or .ppt will systematically screw up your layout, effectively preventing you from making anything that looks pretty.
-On Ubuntu, I used Evolution mail client and a patch (can't remember the name) and I finally got exchange to work, but boy, that was some work! -There are WAY too many interface options. Apparently, that's good, but think about it: how many times have you sat at your desktop, and next thing you know, you're on Facebook or Youtube? imagine that, integrated in an OS. You get the picture=productivity exterminator.
