Yep that's the old Boughton alright! The quality doesn't show the faces very well, but I can tell there's Arthur, Phil, Paul, Trevor, Colin, John T, John S and me. Memories happy memories :o) Ian B

It is Boughton Monchelsea Morris, I was one of the girls (Liz!!!) (not in this dance!). The ritual dance comp at Sidmouth was one of the highlights of our year, we never won but we liked to think that we entertained! We ended our set by sweeping the stage! The guy introducing was Pete, can't remember his surname. Boughton are still going with some of the same people in this video, and they also spawned the somewhat more famous Fabulous Fezheads.

Maybe the Minstrel Morris again, your note about Bougton refers to Boughton Morris from Boughton Monchelsea, nr Maidstone, Kent. CLose to us and shared some members I believe at various times. The guy doing the intro was Peter (I think).
