This is a time lapse showing how I monitor the Pepino Swamp Cooler. The sensor on the left shows the indoor temperature on top and the outside temperature (in the shade) on the bottom. The right sensor shows the temperature coming out of the cooler, into the house. Each time the red light comes on, the pump is activated to flow water across the evaporative media. I started filming with just the fans pushing warm air into the house to show how the Pepino air temperature changes then the pump is activated. This video is condensed from 20 minutes. In real time, the pump runs for just 6 seconds - then waits 4 1/2 minutes before it runs again. The fans, timer circuit, and pump all run on 12VDC off my battery bank that is recharged with solar panels.
