@adamcc91 - I don't change oil for a living, thanks. :) I run multi-million dollar auto centers and have extensive experience in the automotive industry. For anyone to say there is no difference between different brands of oil filters is just plain and simply ignorant.

@adamcc91 - Oil filters can have similar construction, but there can be significant differences in filtration efficiency, change intervals and dirt holding capacity that the naked eye can't discern when merely cutting open an oil filter and comparing the internal construction from brand to brand.

@JayzBeerz correct. Napa filters are made by Wix. They put a Napa label on them and drop the first digit.
51515 Wix is a 1515 Napa.

@Harmonlisa - Congratulations on achieving that mileage. Let's do a cost analysis here. Approximately how many miles does your van go between oil changes and how much money does each oil change cost you, including tax?

That is very true and buying a quality product does not cost much more.
But I have put over 480K Km on my Astro van using wix filters and cheap oil. It gets changed when it is dirty VS at a specific mileage/time interval.
