@MrSupers22 To be honest, I think they did the whole Bernkastel/Rika thing to mess with our heads. The thing is, Rika is a human with no special powers of her own, and she has empathy for others, unlike Bernkastel, so this leads me to believe that they aren't one and the same. They're connected in some way or another, but different. I personally think Rika being a piece created by Bernkastel makes the most sense.

@LovelyLullabyx I don't think so Because Bernkastel became a witch became a witch when she broke the logic error from my understanding higurashi was a fight between the witch of theatergoing and the witch of certainty now featherine ( hanyuu) created a logic error and kinda gave up and rika had to pick up the pieces for thousands of years long enough to make anyone go mad

Higurashi and Umineko actually tie into each other a bit. It's possible that the worlds of Higurashi were part of a game that Bernkastel and Lambdadelta played, with Bern controlling Rika and Lambda controlling Takano. Lambda/Takano (who was called the Witch of Certainty) won most times, as seen in Higurashi, but the last time they played, Bern/Rika won by a miracle, which gave her the title "Witch of Miracles."

In other words, Rika was most likely created by Bernkastel.
