The nicest journey I went on during this SE Asia adventure was between Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh city.
The coach which was most comfortable travelled past many interesting sights, most notably the Mekong river crossing at Neak Luong. I would advise anyone doing the same journey to the leave the coach when on the ferry, to take in the beautiful views of the Mekong river.
Unlike Poipet, the border crossing at Babet into Vietnam is professionally run, so there were no dodgy holdups. As mentioned in the video the journey takes about 6 hours.
Important advice : On reaching Saigon when leaving the coach make sure you arrange the cost of transportation to a hotel before you make the journey.

Thanks for this... Cambodia is a beautiful place and people. I'm in Sihanoukeville at the moment and heading to VN in two days time. Where in Ho Chi Min does the bus stop?

The coach should stop somewhere along Phạm Ngũ Lão street, which is right next to the backpacker district.

Nice video. How do you do the animation with the map of Cambodia and the red bus at 0:14?

My previous job was as a computer draughtsperson so I know a little about 3d animation as you can see.
