SCROOGE NEVER REALIZED THEY WERE CELEBRATING HIS DEATH!
-
In some TV editions the entire hell bit is trimed out - probably due to the timing reasons.
-
Never liked this scene. Always felt it was a little too extreme, and the dialogue made it all seem cartoonish. And also they took forlorn Marley and made him come off as an apathetic villain.
Of course this was all part of the plan to get Scrooge to straighten up but still it just seems to over the top.

Huh...my dad was right, there is a face in the wall...And to think my mom and I ambushed him when I was a kid and said we didn't see anything and nothing was there...sorry dad lol

AFTER MUAMMAR DIED, I HAD FOUND A CARICATURE OF HIM IN HELL FACING THE DEVIL!
-
man this freaked me out seeing it late at night as a kid on tv! Today I still prefer the George C. Scott version, but I'm glad this is still out there.

THIS PART REMINDS ME OF THE DEATH OF MUAMMAR!

@wisnurse Don't forget Alistair Sim.

my favorite christmas movie of all time,.

This is my favorite adaptation, as well, and despite my great respect for actors such as George C. Scott and Patrick Stewart, Albert Finney simply blows them out of the water.
@anime1973 Maybe it was just to show him how big in fact his chain really was?
