@akashia29 It doesn't have any significance, per say. It's a popular style in many apostolic/pentecostal circles, and the bump, or poof, gives some height to round out certain face shapes. It also helps balance the look of the hairstyle so you have more than just a large lump on the back or side of your head.

the reason her hair is that long is cuz she is in a covenet with God. We beleave in not cutting our hair as it states sev. times in the bible. a womans hair is her glory and the Lord is pleased with her hair and I bet it dosent bother her one bit what people have to say about her hair ! Apostolic's have thick skin cuz we dont worry with what the world has to say only with our Lord expeacts of us. So all my sisters with long hair and no makeup wear it proud cuz God is proud of us andLOVESYOUALL
