Old ladies shouted with us in the street with clenched fists "one Cyprus", indignant we called "I want to live in the buffer zone", and silent we weren't. We will return to the buffer zone at Lidra St (meeting just before the south crossing) every Saturday at 6pm. We will arrange events in the buffer zone, music, talks, poetry... anything you can think of, to stop being silent, to stop being invisible, to raise awareness of how our beautiful island has been divided and used as a military springboard, and to shout, simply "we want to be together."
