@beast12101 Hey....Thanks for clearing that up, makes much more sense. I appreciate the tip for coffee. Cold morning, hot coffee--gooood. thanks again.

Taster's Choice packets and tea-bags, here.

I just make a coffee bag out of a coffee filter. Tie it closed with a string. Boil it in a pot of water. Lightweight and cheap. I have no jetboil stove. I use a mini Trangia alcohol stove. Or I could drink bitter instant coffee. Tea or coffee makes dirty unfiltered spring or creek water tasty and safe.

I have that press came with my jetboil. But you always come up with clever ideas.

turn the screen part over it seals better ,also just a thought Coglins makes like little tea bags that you hang on top of a regular cup then slowly puor hot water through
-
just to Starbuks pack.

I have always used instant coffee. It was mre (canadian) coffee packs that got me into being a coffee drinker in the first place. Aside form that if i wated fresh coffee in the woods I would grind beans to a verry corse grind and make small baggies out of chese cloth and use it like a tea bag.

The press screen is upside down. I know I'm a little late, sorry.
Cancer stove? Sorry, but I don't get it. Care to elaborate? Peace....

Wonder if that coffee maker NCHiker1970 made would fit in that pot? I like the idea you have to. Would the cover from a REI coffee press mug fit in that mug? Just a thought because I had to buy a replacement top.

I not sure , but the mugs are usually double walled to keep things warm, which makes them smaller on the inside.
