This is a follow-up to the video I shot and hosted earlier this evening in response to several private messages with questions concerning partition sizes, SD card brands, etc. I'm entirely too lazy for a complete description at this point in time. Sorry folks.

Keep in mind; it's late, I'm exhausted, should be asleep, but for those of you who are in need of a little assistance, I'm always willing to lend a hand. You're welcome!

Enjoy!

P.S. - As planned, I'm going to be USING AN ACTUAL CAMCORDER to post an official review of the MoDaCo 2.2 custom ROM. Coming soon...

  • What's up folks?

Let me start off by saying that I appreciate all of the support lately. It's been great responses thus far. Now, if you'd like to make a request or something you'd specifically like me to "bring attention" to, suggest it and I'll see what I can do. Thanks.

  • you fucking rock man the last third of your video made me laugh

  • Thanks. Always appreciated to hear some positive feedback...that isn't necessarily related to the topic. Lol.

As for the difference between EXT 3 and EXT 4...

EXT 3 has journal logging capabilities that allow your phone to provide a "logcat" in case of system crash. Which means it can reboot after without any significant issues.

EXT 4 is far superior because this file system offers enhancements like delayed allocation. Each partition extension is just an improvement on the previous one.

  • does MCR2.2 works on the g1

  • Yes, indeed it will. But you need the correct motherboard version. Which, if you have the T-Mobile G1, then your board will be the 32B version. Same with the MyTouch 3G! And you would need to download the ROM specifically for the "Dream" or what you know as the G1.

You can find this ROM thread over at XDA forums; under the Dream development section.

  • Also, you need to be sure to have the correct and latest RADIO/SPL!

That is the most important aspect of being able to flash a Hero-based ROM.

You run the risk of boot looping your phone or perhaps even bricking it...if you do not flash those first!
