Can crusher built by my dad and I and demonstrated by my friend and I. 2 - 20'X1" square tubing, 2 lawnmower tires, 2' of 3/4" shaft, 4 bearings and boxings, some 5" PVC, a 3/4 HP motor, and a 100:1 gear box.

  • cool build. We don't crush our cans here because they have a 5 cent deposit on them, and they have to read the UPC code to redeem the deposit.

  • what gear ratio did you use? what torque/RPM were you running the motor at?

    nice change of 'tack' on the can crusher idea! I wonder if you had both wheels at MAX' air pressure if the cans would crush flatter? Nice idea though!

    Not sure if I have your name correct. I use 2 upper case 'i's after the Mustang bit, but it may be ones?
