July 1909 Louis Bleriot flew his aeroplane, which he had built himself from wood canvas and wire, from Calais in france to Dover in England. His was the first ever flight over open water. A century later to celebrate this achievement over a hundred microlight pilots from France, England, Ireland and Belgium recreate his flight. Our group, on our return to Blighty, finish with a picnic at the Headcorn Air show and Prom. Champers and strawberries all round!
