"Heart Trouble" by the Parliaments

@dbspaceoditty True, but then, I honestly don't think it was only a matter of folks splitting up. I believe there was a method to the madness. I think they actually wanted to create some signature differences between the groups. It made perfect sense to give each one a certain sound if possible. Why not have both groups tweaked with different aspects of instrumentation to make each band distinct, while also incorporating ridiculous levels of funk into each at the same time? Makes sense..

@DreTam2000 funkadelic was at a loss of musicians. if you remember the transition from "the parliaments" to funkadelic/parliament. since they had two record lables but same musicians. they had to split up for awhile. half the people stayed parliament while the others went funkadelic.
your observation was correct. because there better guitar/bass/drums/vocals went to funkadelic. where the horns, harmony vocals, and keyboards stayed. later years they started working together with the p-funk

Yes yes, the greatest music ever indeed. I realize my last sentence wasn't exactly true either. I've also noticed recently that Parliament tracks utilize the piano a bit more often, while some Funkadelic ones don't even use a keyboard at all. Definitely amazing music though, either way..

@DreTam2000 it all depends if your looking at early or late parliament. early stuff like ride on and up for the down stroke the bass lines and guitar kept the songs going. but you know. its all the greatest music ever

@dbspaceoditty - If you listen carefully, you'll also notice that Parliament tracks are immediately charged by horns and trumpets or different brass instruments of sorts. Guitars are not readily identifiable in a Parliament track, and bass guitars don't usually stand out in a Parliament composition like they do in Funkadelic ones. Funkadelic tracks are mostly charged by a funky guitar rift and a wild bassline at some point or another in the given song. Both utilize the piano about equally.

The riff is also very simlar to Take Yer Dead Ass Home
