(Edited) Author and activist Michael Pollan is a passionate advocate for sustainable food. In his compelling talk at PopTech, he explores how our industrial food system is keeping us overly dependent on fossil fuels, destroying our environment, and making us sick. Breaking this cycle requires fundamentally changing our relationship to food - and eating more meals together.

  • is that his son towards the end?

  • @IOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIOIO I get plenty of Iron and B12 thanks

  • @ceritube True, industrial meat production and consumption in developed countries is unsustainable and unhealthy, but then again so are plenty of plant crops and you can hardly wish away your body's need of iron and B12. The answer is to severely reduce meat and source it from extensive- raised livestock, whose fertility is harnessed to feed the plants that would make up most of our diet. If you just eliminate things that are problematic from your diet you end up just eating salt water...

  • All plant based not mostly, carnism is not sustainable or healthy
