  • I m going to build my own pc with an AMD phenom ii x6 3.2Ghrz processor, radeon HD 6950 2gb video card, 2TB HDD, 12gb ram(3x 4gb). I m thinking of getting a 650w-750w PSU is that enough? what do you think man, I please need help

  • That calculator is kind of complicated but anyway... It seems that I have a system that requires something around 450W and I have a 850W PSU. I think I've taking something a bit too powerful. :)

  • Would two ATI Radeon HD 4870 Crossfire cards plus 5 fans and all the regular parts be considered High End or Extreme Gaming Rig?

  • id suggest you go for the hx1000watts, trust me you'll need it

  • is a 650watt power supply enough for a phenomii x2550 unlocked and overclocked to 3,8ghz+gtx260+1 sata hard drive?

  • what about if u use dual graphic card how do u calculate? do u double it

  • 850w is more than enough, i am running a 650w for my q9650 cpu and a gtx 295

  • I have the Corsair TX650W on a Phenom 9750, Radeon HD3870, 4gb's of Dominator, 2 WD Raptors an 1 WD for backup, and 1 dvd burner. At least get a 750 unless you plan on going SLI in the future, then you wanna go higher. That extreme calculator will give you an amount nowhere near whats recommended.

  • I'm getting a new rig soon, and I'm really unsure of what PSU to get. It's going to be fairly high end, with the following components:

    Asus P6T Deluxe

    Intel Core i7 920 2.66 GHz (and probably OC'd)

    Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler

    Corsair 6GB DDR3 1333 MHz

    WD VelociRaptor 150 GB

    WD Caviar Black 1 TB

    XFX GeForce GTW 295

I was thinking a Corsair 850W for this setup. Any opinions on it? Will it be enough?
