Dr. Esam Omesh Protests Israeli Aggression

On Aug. 12, 2006, a huge rally was held in Lafayette Park, in Washington, D.C. Its purpose was to protest Israeli aggression in Occupied Gaza and Lebanon. One of the speakers was Dr. Esam Omesh, President of the Muslim American Society.

Notice how NOT ONCE this guy condemns Hezbollah, who started the war by crossing over the Israel border & kidnapping Israeli soldiers, then continuously fired rockets against the Israelis daily. What Hezbollah did was an act of War, read the Geneva Convention. Israel's response was justified. If your neighbor threatened you daily with violence, threatened to kill you, and then tried to act upon it, fired a gun at you,don't you think YOU would be justified in taking matters into your own hands?

Israel sent 123 trucks of humanitarian aid to Gaza:

54 trucks trough Sufa containing: medications, cleaning products, rice, sugar, meat, dairy products, washing powder, flour, salt, fruit, carrots, halva, starch, eggs, yeast, fish and cloth.

51 trucks through Karni containing: wheat, barley, soy, lentils and sesame.

18 trucks through Kerem Shalom containing: medications, electrical equipment, paper, diapers, toilet paper, oil, wood for greenhouses, pumps and drip irrigation system.

Today (April 13, 2008), Israel transfered 121 trucks of humanitarian aid carrying rice, sugar, oil, fruit and dairy products to Gaza via the Sufa and Kerem Shalom crossings.

re: recent resignation from immigration committee in VA - I think it is a shame that what he said would cause so much controversy that he felt he had to step down from a committee on immigration reform. whether factual or not, it was political speech and not hate filled or anti-American.
