Magnetic Warp (Pretty Pictures)This investigation describes and demonstrates a novel technique for the visualization of magnetic fields. Two ferrofluid Hele-Shaw cells have been constructed to facilitate the imaging of magnetic field lines. We deduce that magnetically induced photonic band gap arrays similar to electrostatic liquid crystal operation are responsible for the photographed images and seek to mathematically prove the images are of dipole nature. Very inspiring, thank for sharing.

Sirzerp, Wonderful. How do I get hold of some ferrofluid Hele-Shaw cells ?
Did you test electromagnets as well as permanent magnets? Is the Bloch wall narrower in the more powerful magnets?
Pleas join the Rodin coil google group
It shows the swirling counter-rotations of the domains! Awesome
thanks

Fantastic work!
you say you want to work the math out?
Would you be interested in being invited to Marko Rodins coil Group?
like minded researchers. ;)
i have a torus already mapped a while ago with the 15 lines this 'new way' shows.
could save you little time.
namaste.
I have a torus identical to 5:19 not on this vid.. watch my video to give a heads up, its magic.
