One doesn't wish to be cheeky, but one must: though the song works as a tribute-type recording, which it sounds like, the Shannons were born too late for this song to be any kind of a hit in the late 60's

I think I've finally found a '60s cover of a '50s song that doesn't measure up to the original. It's not bad though, and I'm a particularly big fan of the Poni-Tails' hit.
