  • a terrible trade

  • Corvo wanted out. Why keep a guy who can't take the pressure.

You can thank Bettman for the ridiculous offers given to Stillman and Commodore ... more so Commodore.

As for Eaves, if he can stay healthy he'll be a good roster player ... but I don't think he has much more potential than 3rd line.

  • First off, Joe plays as good as D as anybody else in the NHL he just has a offensive side to him, so he like's to pinch alot.

Which is fine by me because his points with us in the amout of time here speaks for itself.

Patty is a good player, very physical and works hard but Im not sure how healthy he still is from the Ottawa day's. Next year will be nice as he can rest and came back at 100%. Wouldn't mind havin Commy and Stiller back though, specially Mike, he misses Carolina!

  • LOL. He does not play D as good as anyone else. He's great on the PP.

He's like McCabe, but better (ie he can actually skate).

  • Yea he does or he wouldn't be in the NHL, obviously he's not a Pronger and Im not even gona say anything about Brian Mccabe but you guy's just didn't like him because he like's to play offense as well as D but maybe a little to much for yall, it really doesn't matter though cause were happy with the trade.

  • No one is saying he shouldn't be in the NHL. You're delusional if you think he's a great defensive defenseman or even compares to a good defenseman in the NHL.

  • Hey Caniac, plural's do not need apostrophe's

  • Worst deal EVER!

    As of 2009:

Eaves, Corvo, Commodore, Stillman, ALL GONE

  • I love this fuckin guy, wish I had a lisp. Ha ha thatssssssss funny! Ottawa still Blows.

  • Haha this shit is so funny looking back at it almost a year later.Joe has got so much better the more he has played with us.All the talk about he couldn't play D is water under the bridge,he and Gleason are our top 2 shutdown defensemen. His defense has improved tremendously! He made 3 plays last game to save goals and 2 of em were 2 on 1's. Yea he can still blast the puck and score at will, but people are starting to notice his D more than his offense these day's. I stand by my previous comments

  • I don't think he's a great defenseman, I think he's a good defenseman, but we didn't pick him up because of his defense, again, his stats with you guys and stats with us speak for themselve's in the amount of game's he play'd with each team. Iv seen Joe make plenty of great play's on D at the RBC Center this year, but Iv seen him make more scoring chance's too which is what we need from the blue line.
