@FunnyMinority Its the kinda coaching and tactics they follow, they aim to get off with a great start, hoping to have one or two lengths on their opponents and use the psychological advantage to hold the lead, obviously, it doesnt always work :P

why do the germans always row pretty strong in the 1st 1k, but fall back so badly the last 700.... i dont get it... SHAME :(

Tomkins is a little old/retired to take on NZL at this point, but the Ginn+Free pair, that could bring some serious excitment to the mens pair these days.

appaz james tomkins (or drew ginn) was in so much agony in this race and wanted to stop at the 1000 even though they were out front because it was so hot that day
