  • I thought I'd be happy to see the airflare in competition, but the announcers are saying people are learning it because of him. When people have been learning this move for a decade.

  • umm first of all bboys stole flares from gymnasts and of course bboys would be better at airflares just like a gymnast would be better at flips

  • @Sidewinder1O5 Well put. interesting story, airflare actually didn't evolve from a flare but from a windmill. ^_^ was informed by a zulu king himself.

  • @BuddyAMP Indeed. It was the "flair" that Kurt Thomas put on circles. A "flare" is something you put on the side of the road next to a car accident, lol.

  • i don't understand why everyone doesn't just enjoy the video... there are many aspects of breaking and gymnastics that can benefit both passions. Okay so gymnasts did some moves before breakers and breakers did some moves before gymnasts but we should be respecting each art and appreciating the sharing or ideas as it increases our expression. That is my view as a VERY basic gymnast and similarly basic breaker.

  • bboys did not "steal" flares because bboys know the origin of the flare move, and it was from a gymnast, we all know this and we respect the creator for it. what hurts me the most is these professional announcers and gymnasts are starting to use the airflare without knowing its roots and ackknowledging who did it first. PAULO NUNEZ was the first person and bboy to do the move. give respect where its due.

  • @kalibeast Didn't know they were "flairs," that's interesting. To answer, bboys have mistaken "flairs" to be spelled as "flares," and since we created the move, the spelling as "airflare" just makes sense.

  • watch?v=0VABz7BCRk0&feature=related

this guy is better.. in airflares only though.. cos morgan is so good at gymnast stuff.. its ridiculous.

  • Morgan hamm is training a 1 handed airflare and windmill to airflare which would offer higher FIG values if accepted! Theres a airflare variation (airflare walkover?) in which the arm hop is absent the performer simply reaching over for hand switch, this would look nice in routines

  • @CjayyNSC Cico sucks!

  • @KyleHAHAHA Okay, what? Flairs (not "flares") were invented by/named after Kurt Thomas, a gymnast from the 1970s. I'm not sure why the accepted spelling of "air flare" isn't "air flair," but that's beside the point. Anyway, there is no gymnast named "Thomas Flair," although that is the name of his skill.

  • @KyleHAHAHA Who is Thomas Flair ??
