Musikus-Tanz-Orchester, mit Tenor-Solo: Der Alte Leiermann (Auf Unserm Hof Spielt Oft Ein Alter Leiermann)
Telefunken Musikus M 6057 (mx. No.: 20040)
Berlin, 1934

A Telefunken studio band, probably led by Adalbert Lutter. No hot jazz, but nice arrangement.

  • Thanks for appreciating my selections. But I am not quite sure where the hum comes from. A few of my files have been uploaded from previously professionally remastered digital copies in MP3 format, and these are obviously better. Whenever I transfer the music to the PC, I work with really primitive equipment: An old early 1960s Philips record player with tubes (!) and a micro (!). I think that's the problem. Be assured that I am about to look for another player soon ...

  • sounds like an earth mains hum, change the player if possible

  • Sanger ist Erwin Hartung, schöne Platte!!

  • Dear Stompy23, I love the music you have on your site, and the records themselves are usually high quality copies. You obviously have a wonderful collection. However, is there anything you can do to reduce the level of hum? Maybe it comes from your record player? It's such a shame that this intrudes on the lovely music.
