Yes, although they are all gas powered, the only electric wires in the tunnel now are for the light rail trains.

Too bad they didn't do a retro car. But these look cool.

@adelgado75 Depends on who you ask, but I would say so. It is currently being extended north to the University of Washington, and plans call for it to be extended east as well.

@peterpocasset The cars are low floor cars (except for the ends), a person in a wheelchair doesn't need a lift to enter the train, the just roll right in. Because of that, all the electrical, signal and control equipment except for the power trucks and brakes goes on the roof.
