http://bratbusters.com/ Have you ever noticed that teenagers go through growth spurts during school holidays? It's because they've spent so much of same just sleeping. You may be tempted to wake your teen before you leave for work, just to make sure they don't sleep the day away. Resist that temptation and let them sleep all day if they want to. Teenagers need about as much sleep as a newborn. We don't realize that as they're busy going to school, etc. But if left to their own devices they'd probably sleep 12-18 hours/day. What you should be after them about over the holidays: Rules, chores, manners. Some signs that your teenager is going through a growth spurt: moodiness, eating more, sleepy, complaining of aches and pains, face breaking out, weight gain. ... Lisa Bunnage, Parenting Coach.

  • Ha ha ... laughed right out loud at the rude comment. Guess it brought me back to the days when I worked with delinquent teens. All that hostility at the world. I don't bother deleting comments as isn't worth my time, plus I don't think kids are looking at my videos and they're my only concern.

  • It failed because it's a short little news clip with not enough information. It almost sounds as if I'm suggesting teens should just lay around and do nothing and be catered to. My regular viewers on the news get that that's certainly NOT what I meant.

  • I only sleep like 6-7 hours in weekdays and about 10-12 hours on weekends :) i have sleeping problems so I can really sleep. It usually takes me about 2-3 hours just to fall asleep

  • Kool i have to show this to my mom lmaoo

  • I love you, mom

  • best mom ever

  • OMG! Im 15 and I totally agree! I wish someone would tell that to our school systems. Getting up at 5 in the morning for school to start at 7:15 is really not fun. Expecially when you dont get to bed early. : /

  • School start times are out of sync w/teen sleep needs. We're petitioning the White House & Congress via SignOn.org for sane, humane school start times (here it's typical for mandatory instruction to begin in the 7 o'clock hour). Even asking for a bottom limit of 8 a.m. sets off raging controversy! See our channel LaterSchoolStart, our website StartSchoolLater.weebly.com, or our FB Page "Petition White House for Later School Start" to sign (youtube won't allow links to the petition).
