  • I read somewhere that FIA states that a proper formula one car has to have at least 3 gears and no more than 7. The CVT has no gear, therefore it is banned.

  • @Emiins there is more footage but it's owned by Bosch Transmission Technology, this car is currently playing dead in the lobby at our factory in NL

  • This was a time where F1s had active suspension, electronic throttle, ABS... it was getting too expensive to make a competitive car, so the FIA decided to ban all these gadgets, and by 1994 the cars were much more simple. In fact the FW15C is considered the most advanced race car of the world.
