The Belton family preserves a way of life as they feed their Angus cattle with Heavy Horses. The family ranches in Northwest Colorado, near Steamboat Springs. This is part of the I am Angus presentation by the American Angus Association

  • That was a really really nice video and that's saying something coming from a Hereford Beef guy. Loved it. Good stuff keep it going, maybe let your little boy tell the viewers what the farm means to him? Unscripted... Thx again... Billy

  • @BillyJHoward Thanks so much for the compliment.

  • The Belton's are amazing. When I run a ranch of my own, I plan on sleigh feeding during the winter. The Saskatchewan winters are chilly (-45 isn't uncommon) but if the pioneers and early ranchers/farmers could do it, so can we.

I love how peaceful and amazing this is. Beautiful.

  • The Beltons need to be commended for preserving a heritage of agriculture in Colorado where their real estate is worth millions. Thank you so much for helping feed the nation.

  • when im older and got a steady income to start my own black angus cattle ranch, im going todo it with real horsepower not a motor but with horses. this was a great video it just inspires me more to put in the time and money to do it this way. its also a way of life, how to take care of something and to also care for it. awesome video.

  • I grew up on a farm and we were just sitting here in Sweden taliking about how much more harmonious it was those days of tranquility; - it really is nice looking at this video

    Enjoy my songs

    Peace!!

  • This is a wonderful way to preserve our rural heritage. Nothing makes me madder than to see public lands ranchers herding and feeding their cattle on ATVs.

  • They look delicious!

  • Beautiful country. I am very glad you could keep your place. Outstanding horses.

  • Well done love the horses and how well they work with the cows!
