@4raise Try the BMW 3... I bought an Astra, the leather quality is the same as my BMW 320i... The leather is the same lame leather... All are using the same quality of leather up to 7 (BMW), S,(DM) or A6(AUDI) series ... Then it is a different ballgame...

Diesel weights 1580 kg. I have one. That is also too heavy. You can feel it. Buy at least 1.7cdti, 125hp. 2.0cdti recomended. Great handling. Bad visibility. Cheap leather, but premium plastic. Feels german. Not so economical for small engine (7l-8l urban). Despite that is very long, don't expect so much more leg room on rear or trunk, but it is ok. This is no 2 in compact class after Golf for sure. Good side is, that is a lot cheaper.

It's just a shame it has so many known faults and the 1.4 is severely underpowered. GM are having thousands of complaints about them, but refuse to do anything as it is a very heavy car. The turbo petrols are uneconomical as you have to drive them hard. The only half decent ones are diesel turbo, but economy suffers with a weight of 2 tonnes! They also have poor visibility. I wouldn't buy one after trying each model. Dealers still illegaly suggest warranties are void if taken elsewhere.
