  • Hi there - thanks for your feedback about this video. Yes, doctors should definitely be telling their patients that asthma is a serious condition and must be managed well. And hopefully people will get the same understanding by watching this video we hope. Best regards, AFNSW Website Coordinator.

  • I'm glad to see there is healthy debate about the ad(s) it means it has secured your attention. My intention is to create greater awareness of the importance of a current asthma manangement plan that is FOLLOWED. Yes Ryan did have one, it was in his wallet and went with him everywhere - did he follow it, it appears not always. Yes telling people that they could die is confronting, people need to get emotional before they will take action. I want people to be move to act!

  • I disagree with vbro2912

Asthma is as serious as heart conditions if left untreated & mismanaged. This shows the results. It's a reality check. I am a cronic asthmatic & I know many who are also very bad with their asthma. It's easy to become complacent with the condition when things are going ok. You need to constantly be vigilant with your medication though or this could be the result one day. I know as I have been rushed to hospital 3 times unconscious from bad attacks. Get the point!

  • this is so sad! i'm so sorry for this poor woman's loss.

i do control my asthma. shouldn't doctors be telling patients this? I don't think this is a very good ad.

I'd prefer an ad that asks for money for research to find a cure instead of saying 'you might just die'.
