Green terror hand feeding, fry and african cichlids

not sure how old they are females are usually a lot smaller the males are much more colorfol nd have red or orange lining there tail fin and a larger hump on there head. usually you want a target fish that will help the terrors get territorial and spawn

um, i thought you werent supposed to mix south american and african cichilds together?

it looks like your fish are fine though. since they bred and everything which is cool

yeah youre not supposed to he is whats called a target fish a semi agressive african hes there to keep the american male and female from fighting they will keep breeding if they feel they have to protect territory and fry from another fish otherwise they tend to turn on eachother and things get pretty nasty they just bred again :)

the male is about 7 inch and still growing the female is about 5 inch and the african is 6 inch

@coby4201 Once they're a mated pair they won't fight anymore. What you're doing is keeping two fish who prefer harder water and higher pH with a mated pair of notably aggressive cichlids. That's called being a douche. If you want target fish, get a large school of rainbowfish or giant danios, or larger barb species.

most africans are more agressive than terrors, well mine are anyway

What do the babies eat? And don't they get sucked in because of the filter?

At what age do they start breeding?I have 2 young ones.The one is about 4 inches and the other is a little over 2 inches.I'm not sure if they are male or female yet.They are in a tank with some other cichlids and I want to get them into their own tank before they start breeding if they are male and female.
