Hey Joey, when you lip hold the bass, try to support their lower half when you hold them sideways. If you allow their entire weight to be held by the jaw, it can cause permanent ripping and damage in the jaw tissue and gillflap. Just a tip for the wellbeing of the fish we all know and love!

try to fish with live MINNOWS with just a hook and maybe some weights, it works really well on perch here in Sweden! Tight Lines!

@ATFishing2011 I put a yellow bullhead in my tank and I guess he "stung" my bass with it's barbs because he didn't look like he was attacked so I'm assuming that's what happened

@crystalclearscience because they are probably one of the hardest fighting fish you can find in the summer in a suburban area like where i live. i fish for everything though,not just carp
