Another way to visualize the benefits of saving is that, cooking dinner is NOT slow. People talk about "Fast Food", but we forget about the time we spent to make the money to pay for the fast food. You could view it that way too. If you did, fast food could be incrediably slow, taking 3-4 hours to prepare.

1. tithing doesn't make you poor, it makes you rich, 2, you also forgot that $10 is your REVENUE, not your PROFIT, when you work and make $10. You need to pay all the living expenses that allow you to make the $10/hour. Your profits could be almost nil.

I'm always amazed at how many people can't grasp this concept - I teach the same thing to those around me. Everyone thinks the answer to financial struggles is to make more money, when in fact the answer is to spend less/save more...

what?  this is silly, you already paid tax on the saved money, so you saved ten out of 12, these fuzzy math numbers don't make sense.
