  • @parravision2011 great thanks

  • @alanbstard4 search ebay for anamorphic, if you see something you wabt email me the link and I'll tell you what I think, always look for a lens thats has a 55mm rear element.

  • @parravision2011 I'd like to try them out on a website. See how it goes with that cinema effect. An indulgence more than anything.

  • @parravision2011 the prices seem to be rising for them. There is a resurgence of interest in them

  • the iscorama sucks...

congrats you are part of a very small elite club the isco is shit club.....

the iscorama is the best anamorphic lens ever made in it's price bracket or lower.

it originally sold for 2000 dm a small sum for a great lens.

the isco 36 was even cheaper at 1200dm..

when you compare the price point to the hawk the isco is a bargain.

many hollywood lens have used isco scope optics and old cooke optics but they do not advertise the fact.

  • hey can you show an auction quote that states the iscorama is better than a hawk...

this is hot air from you.

the hawk is the best mid price lens..and is unique in that they are for sale.

most elite anamorphics are for rental only.

zeiss probably have the greatest anamorphic lens ever made..

it is a prototype and will destroy the hawks

roger deakins has tested it.they will probably never make a set because hawks pricing and russian/chinese glass purchases will always undercut arri germany.

  • @alanbstard4 Theres a lot of different lens to choose from, everybody has there own opinions, I can only tell you the defects, Sankor is made by Kowa and it gives sharper image vs Kowa 16, the Iscorama produces edge curves that crosses into fisheye, My B&L Cinemascope is awesome but its big, bulky and heavy! what you should do is watch footage on youtube and see what lens works for you! Keep in mind these's are projector lens unlike the Hawk thats a cine camera lens, big difference

  • @parravision2011 do you know of an old anamorphic lens that is a of good quality on todays 35 m digitals? thanks

  • @alanbstard4 I have a B&L anamorpic made in the 1950's, it has a 2 :1/2 inch diameter rear element so it clears the barrel with no distortion! I dont even have to zoom in to far, I see the lens selling from $10.00 to $200, I pick up two a few weeks ago from different sellers, the first one I paid $10.00 and the second one cost me $40.00 I had a Kowa in between the two and it was garbage! I sold it for $100.00 on ebay less then 24 hours of owning it! Kowa is horrible! its the worst I tried

  • @parravision2011 which lens do you have?
