  • If anybody is interested in learning this song for themselves, you can get a tab and sheet music transposition of his recorded version from a book called "Flatpicking Guitar Masterpieces"

  • Sutton & Thile are superb, yet I like Bush's tone a bit more, and there's something about Rice's unique ability to weave around melodies that, in my humble opinion, still is one-of-a-kind. Either way, I love ALL bluegrass musicians, and there's room for all of them on our playlists.

  • @inky960 Decision is usually played at this speed.

  • Well - almost, but not quite, *too* fast. Past a certain speed, a tune like this with a great melody gets hidden its own haste -- or something like that. Still loved it. These guys are THE BEST.

  • @yescoal Yep.

  • Is this the Bourgeouis Banjo Killer that Bryan is playing on this song?

  • Somewhere, Clarence White is smiling. Of course, Clarence and Roland preceded Tony and Sam, but they're all so astonishingly good.... I've been gigging for 46 years, and I don't belong in the same room as these guys, unless I'm in the audience. Holy mother of pearl!

  • ... and I used to think I was a guitar player...sigh

  • love these guys....

  • Sam & Tony who? this is true, but Sam and Tony cleared the tracks for these two men to play the way they do...
