Great orchestration, but damn Tony, those drums are tuned way too high. They're beyond the timbre of the shell. After the rudiments intro, the first hit on what looks and sounds like an 8" tom, it's tuned so high it chokes out.
I love this cat though, and I've seen many other sessions where he doesn't use the coated Emperor-style DW head, he used the Clear Batter-edge, which, in my opinion, sound the best on the kit. John Good designed them for those shells.
