  • I wish we still had the same attitude about space that we did back during the cold war.

Back then our astronauts were heroes. Parades were thrown in their honor, and we pushed the envelope to make great advancements. (granted war was a motivating factor)

Today our astronauts (while still heroes) are seen as boring government employees, not adventuring scientists and symbols of the human desire for exploration.

Space today is about money, and calculated risk.

    Bring back the cool!

  • You idiot.

Space is not awesome.Music video is awesome, movie is awesome, game is awesome.Space is more incredible than anything on Earth we ever seen.Awesome is annoying american retarded word and it should not be used describing space.About Nasa, hahaha sending people to space haha, people never went even beyong moon !! Why should they spend their money on that? You need to educate man, google NASAs pictures of galaxies, facts, and mindblowing documentaries.Thous people talk about most amazing things!

  • This guy thinks NASA is boring because he drinks 20 cups of coffee a day.

  • @MartianStories America spent TWENTY BILLION DOLLARS last year providing AIR-CONDITIONING for troops in Afghanistan. There is a reason for that. BECAUSE THEY SHOOT PEOPLE ALL DAY LONG, AND GET SHOT AT AND BLOWN UP. So American's have NO PROBLEM spending 20 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR for their AC. BECAUSE WE LOVE SPLOSIONS AND PEOPLE GETTING JACKED UP. Just like the Romans with their Gladiators. Gladiators were slaves, expected to die in the Arena. Yet they were the MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!

  • In order to get funding again for American Space Exploration, we need to bring to space exploration the thing americans love MORE THAN ANYTHING: People Getting Blown Up.

There is a reason why the only american space presence in the future will be military. Because Americans LOVE to see people getting cooked, sploded, and fragmented.

  • @nilbud It's a lot more than two people that make up the SVC mentality, but you're absolutely right.

  • @youngdrodeau You mean to say that seeing these beautiful galaxies light years away is boring? Knowing you're made of the stuff the sun is made of is boring? So what isn't boring? listening to a plant fart?

  • @usnsquirrel NASA isn't making space boring.Space is making itself boring.Its SPACE.Its vast nothingness.Like a giant empty room.

  • @VJExavior People have lost interest in space. Mostly due to NASA, but also because they're more interested in looking DOWN at their mobile devices, rather than going outside, maybe to a field somewhere and actually looking UP to see the beauty overhead and having a desire to GO there themselves.

  • Wow that is quite the rant. I agree completely that NASA TV is boring and needs LOTS of work!!! However the Astronauts do go out in the public talking about their experiences in space in a human way., with enthusiasm and so forth. I wonder if he ever went to see one and see for himself? You can locate on the internet some of the other cool things that are going on at NASA but it is EXTREMELY hard to find, that is for sure.

  • I created SpaceStationSim, the game in the last frame. Thank you for including my work in your presentation. For what it's worth, I spent almost two years getting a space act agreement, conducted extensive interviews with senior ISS engineers and management, and astronauts, built a game that is fun to play and DOES convey the challenges NASA faces building, crewing and maintaining the ISS, and NASA did NOTHING to help the game whatsoever. NOTHING. What a shame.
