On March 3rd 2007, Israel Vasquez and Rafael Marquez engaged in a battle which would become an instant classic. Early on, Rafael would control the tempo with his masterful and technical ability, but Israel came back with a 3rd round knockdown leaving Rafael shaken. Rafael slowly edged himself into the fight, but due to a serious injury to the nose caused by Rafael's punches, Israel gave in uttering, "I cant breathe" therefore submitting in the 7th round. What a great fight between 2 champions! Be on the look out for the rematch remix!
