On Friday August 19th Governor John Kasich, House Speaker William G. Batchelder, and Senate President Tom Niehaus set up a dishonest and grandstanding "meeting" to try to negotiate with labor leaders on SB5 (now Issue 2 on the ballot). Their attempt at portraying labor leaders as inflexible and unwilling to negotiate is as cynical an effort we've seen at political spin in Ohio in some time.
They planned all along to be "all by themselves" at this non-meeting so they could point the finger at labor. Desperation on Kasich's signature bill i setting in.

How come they didn't have the FOP nor OAPFF (Ohios firefighter union) listed on the table with the other unions? Why the exclusion?

One more time, I cannot express how much watching this makes me so damn happy. They thought they could destroy organized labor, the working middle class with it , and take away Ohio;s safety net while privatizing our turnpike, schools, ete. WRONG - SB5/Issue 2 will go down and We the People will prevail.
