Vesselina Kasarova (mezzo-soprano) sings Tancredi's entrance aria (Rice Aria) from Rossini's opera. From her 2005 concert with David Syrus & The SWR Sinfonieorchester Kaiserslautern at the Schwetzingen Festival.

If this stirs you, look for the RCA Red Seal CD set of the opera conducted by Roberto Abbado for an even better rendition of it by Kasarova!

  • WOW!! She is amazing. She loves the coloratura. Out of all the ladies who sang this, Kasarova is by far the best.

  • I also believe she is the best Tancredi so far. And her voice sounds even smokier and more nuanced here than the CD. There is always something new in her renditions of this aria.
