Flower Pot Men - A walk in the sky 1967

Take a walk in the sky
Tell your mother goodbye
Won't be back home for tea

Take a walk in the sky
and you'll find out why
that you're gonna be free (you're gonna be free)

Take a walk in the sky
if you're gonna go wild
there are meadows of blue (and reality)

Take a walk in the sky
and you'll never deny what is true
(never deny, never deny, no no no no no no)

La la la la ....

You got wings of a bird (wings of a bird)
so you think you can fly (so you think you can fly)
well now (well now) get up and go (get up and go)
Take a walk in the sky

There are rainbows ready to ride upon
and the clouds are peppermint green
and you'll never know where your life has come
till you lived your life in a dream
lived your life in a dream

La la la la ....

  • Good group with Peter Nelson of Peter's Faces.

  • Along Comes Mary meets Aquarius. Didn't they used to be the Pot Flower Dudes?

  • @TheRepub No .. one or two of them joined 'White Plains' and had a few hits from 1970 - 1971.. one of them being 'My Baby Loves Lovin' .. also a hit in the US for The Joe Jeffrey Group.. They were all session singers, one guy in this line up is Tony Burrows, who had the lead vocal in 'Love Grows' , a worldwide hit for 'Edison Lighthouse' in 1970. Tony also sang with the original 'Brotherhood of Man' in 1970 .. He was still touring up until a couple of years ago.

  • There Great! The Righteous Brotheres, Spanky & Our Gang and The Beach Boys had a lovechild!!!

  • when they became "Great Plain", they did "My Baby Loves Love". Ugh.

  • They sound like they took their "walk" on 100%

    toluene!

  • @lrd9999 LOL! "Listen! To what the flower people say....ahhhhh."

  • @MattHatter Or, did they go on to become "Spinal Tap"??

  • 0:26 Did the hairdresser from "No Country for Old Men" have something to do with this??

  • Intellect? Knobhead? Grow up? You pose to me these questions and listen

to this? The Flower Pots are EMPTY. They need moist soil and maybe a

plant! This appears to be the reason the Moody Blues are revered and few

people remember the "Men". They sound like they took their "walk" on 100%

    toluene!
