NMSU anthropology students in Bill Walker's native ceramics class are using archaeological tools to excavate an 800 year old pueblo in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Walker, at left, explains where a pit used to be. Pits such as these in pueblo homes from the El Paso Era could be used to store food or other valuables.
