In this video I am demonstrating how the Google Maps module within Google Mobile program can utilize GPS to make planning transit trips easy.
You just tap on the maps icon on the google bar, and from the menu select Get Directions. When the GPS is working it can start from your location. You can enter your destination easily, and it gives you a list to pick from.
Rather than enter in the location you can also pick a point on the map.
If you hit the curved arrow it will show you the next leg on your trip.
The algorithm is different than what Calgary Transit uses, it may show you a quicker route that is less dependent on CTrains.
Of course this also works with driving directions, but the fact that it can also pull in the bus schedule information is much more impressive.
In case anyone is wondering, I used a program called My Mobiler to record my screen.
Nice video, nice tutorial, everything is nice! I subscribe you, i rate for you, just please tell me how to record my Nokia 6300 screen. Give me a link, please!
