@gabelle87 I had to take a Valium just to fall asleep after Obama's inauguration and it had nothing to do with his color but his RADICAL views and policies which are becoming more and more clear to everyone even those who initately supported him.

@barry197530 If I had to guess Elvis would probably be a southern Democrat. He did have conservative views. He wore an Eagle instead of an American flag here. Out of respect for the flag. He thought if he "made it" anyone could in America. Believed in God. Was horrified by abortion and believed women should stay at home and raise a child. Like his Mother raised him. That's mainly why he kept his political views to himself. Liberal views were in fashion then.

I am glad it didn't happen. Elvis never wanted to be involved in politics. The Nixon meeting was different and nothing to do with a campaign or inauguration. Just another manipulation it would have been of the American people by this character called Obama. Rest In Peace Elvis Presley.

Elvis would be rolling over in his grave if Obama even thought about using an Elvis song....Elvis was a conservative....gun owning, military man, like Nixon. Obama would have no business to use an Elvis song. After all, Elvis was a KING and Obama is a DICTATOR!

Google the subject there's several blogs and articles, the subject: "If I Can Dream Elvis Obama". Obama's a fan and requested the song for his inauguration on 20 January. Not sure if Elvis will sing...just hoping.
